The design of the apartment complex therefore represents the typical mix of uses and scaled development, which will characterize the precinct. The development is sandwiched between the M4 motorway and an extended Ridge Road and is situated at the entrance to the village. The design accommodates retail on the street level with offices at first floor level and apartment on two floors above. Due to the fall on the site the parking is tucked into four levels behind the retail and front apartments. The roof of the parking structure provides an internal courtyard at “ground level” of the rear apartments. This provides views from the rear units over the front units and the “courtyards” between the two blocks provide outdoor amenities in a secure environment.
